I tried to trace the lineart of the Pokemon Platinum Giratina promotional poster on tracing, then multiple pieces of paper. I’m not so sure if I’m going to cut out the other blank spaces, but I might paint the Giratina using acrylic paint.

Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as baseball cards and thin enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origin in Switzerland. The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold.
source: Wikipedia.

You can find some more information on ATC here and here.

ATC Book
I used a piece of cardboard backing from one of my sketchbooks to make an ATC book holder. Inside, I put paper & glued card sleeves on them. I secured the pages with a ribbon. And for the outside, I decorated it with origami paper and miscellaneous things. (I had fun with the label maker)

ATC Cards
A few years ago, I tried to make a few ATC cards. I was testing out my Faber Castell inking pens. I was in a mood to try and make some tarot, so I tried to make the ATC tarot-themed.
Hamter theme tarot – 0 the Fool, Hamster theme tarot – I the Magician, XIII – the Death(influenced by CCS), Fatal Frame fanart – X the Malice

Use a paperbag, large construction paper, food packaging… (or something you’d like to put on your book to protect it). I saved some gomatamago [ごまたまご] package paper to use as a book cover for a videogame artbook I had. It was Librum Vespera, Eternal Poison’s promotional artbook. It actually had a big gash in the back of the book (it was probably the first book near the top of the box when the person used a box cutter to open the box…)
Not only will this protect the book from tearing up (because I had a hard time handling the book with the big tear in the back cover & pages), but it looks cute and stylish :P Feel free to try it with anything. I might cover another book with ohagi [おはぎ] food packaging.

You can try following the directions here or illustrated diagram here.

I had some leftover paper from making a modular swan so I decided to try to make something.
