Wow, its coming so soon. On Sunday, we went to the mall to do some very last-minute shopping. It was very packed indeed, and the weekly crafts kiosks in the middle of the bottom floor doesn’t help with the bustling of shoppers either.
I went to Build-A-Bear and used my coupon for a free Holly & Hal Moose™: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure.

product description: Will Holly & Hal Moose™, the dynamic sibling duo, work together to save Christmas and their friendship in time for Santa to make his famous flight? Find out in our first Build-A-Bear Workshop® furry friend-inspired storybook.

Its been a very long time since I’ve gotten a childrens’ story book. The last one I can remember getting is The Golden Horse: an American Folktale (I think that’s the title…) I bought it for $12 in 2nd grade when the author came to the school. I had it signed for me as well.
I guess one thing I enjoyed about the Holly and Hal Moose book was the colorful, happy pictures and the use of different fonts/text. It made it fun, especially Holly’s mini planning pages. Oh yes, it came with a poster as well.

I came back later on to get a Frosty the Snowman. Not knowing what to name Frosty, I just called him Ice Man. So much thought, eh…? I was thinking of Megaman and thought of the little eskimo-looking Ice Man.

I hope to receive more coupons because I plan on getting the 15 in. WWF Gray Wolf – $25.00 or 16 in. Husky – $22
.

Since Christmas is coming closer, I hope my packages will come. >|O
Oh yeah, the sky was so nice outside. It was very pink. I wish sunset would always look like this.

Hmm I wanna check this out

Use a paperbag, large construction paper, food packaging… (or something you’d like to put on your book to protect it). I saved some gomatamago [ごまたまご] package paper to use as a book cover for a videogame artbook I had. It was Librum Vespera, Eternal Poison’s promotional artbook. It actually had a big gash in the back of the book (it was probably the first book near the top of the box when the person used a box cutter to open the box…)
Not only will this protect the book from tearing up (because I had a hard time handling the book with the big tear in the back cover & pages), but it looks cute and stylish :P Feel free to try it with anything. I might cover another book with ohagi [おはぎ] food packaging.

You can try following the directions here or illustrated diagram here.
